My husband and I both receive medical care from Eric Benjamin at Alexandria Medical Associates. He is conscientious, concerned, knowledgeable, a good listener, and well-informed. My husband and I both highly recommend Eric. He is very patient in discussing matters which is a quality that is important for people like me who have multiple illnesses so I often need to discuss several matters at one appointment. I appreciate how he takes the time to explain medical conditions or treatments in a simple way that I can understand what is happening to my body or how a treatment will help me. Eric listens to everything I say and does not dismiss or ignore or minimize like some other doctors might do. He does not seem rushed or make me feel like I am wasting his time. He listens intently and asks questions to be sure he understands. Eric makes me feel comfortable about asking him questions and sharing fully about symptoms I experience without embarrassment. Since being under his care I feel like my health has improved because he takes the time to adjust medication doses or to recommend different medication or suggests lifestyle changes to treat a health issue. I also like that he recognizes when I am worried about a reoccurring issue and is willing to support additional testing or x-ray I may propose so I can be confident about whether an issue is serious. He also is willing to make referrals to specialists when something is outside of his expertise. Working with Eric feels like a partnership where the medical professional is as serious and dedicated to ensuring my good health as I am. He appears to be well-informed on new medical treatments and it seems like he makes effort to keep current with new medial findings within his profession. And he is willing to repeat information even if he told me before, and he does so without making me feel old or forgetful as he understands it may require me hearing an explanation more than one time to understand or accept. If my husband or I send an inquiry using the online portal, Eric responds in a timely manner or has his office call. As I already wrote, I highly recommend Eric!!
